CMC has received the tick of approval for this year’s annual surveillance audit of its quality management systems. The audit, includes a detailed review of CMC’s Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems. This year saw CMC also undertake an expansion of standards to ISO9001: 2015 and ISO14001: 2015. Today CMC staff attended the offical opening of Boroondara City Council's Wurundjeri Hertiage Trail in Chandler Park in Melbourne. In 2015, CMC embarked on a Community Garden project in partnership with the University of Melbourne in Hawthorn at CMC’s head office. CMC's National Operations Team took part in a chemical management safety workshop recently.  The workshop, facilitated by CMC’s EHS Manager, focused on safe work methods and processes for managing chemicals in the workplace. The workshop was a refresher course for the team that looked at labelling, correct dosing, manual handling and transportation. CMC’s Rapid Response is working on large-scale office strip-out project in a Salta Properties owned building in Richmond. The project, lasting 10 weeks and covering 3,500 square metres is midway through the project timeline. CMC’s Operations Team had a safety workshop session today. Facilitated by CMC’s EHS Manager Rola Abouassi, the workshop focused on incident reporting. The aim of the session was to refresh the team’s knowledge on prevention of incidents and near misses in the workplace along with steps and procedures required when reporting incidents. CMC held a pink high tea this morning raising much needed funds for its charity partner Very Special Kids (VSK). The funds will go towards VSK's Piggy Bank Appeal, running this month, which aims to raise over $1 million for children with life-threatening conditions. CMC’s Electronic Customer Relationship Management System (ECRM) is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. CMC is working closely with an International software development team to upgrade ECRM and its core functionality to be more intuitive.
