Safety a priority for CMC

CMC held Safety Campaign Training for its National Operations Team on awareness, process improvement and Environmental Health and Safety trends.

The training was a refresher to ensure staff understood and are following CMC’s stringent safety procedures. It was also an opportunity to workshop ideas for process improvement.

CMC’s EHS Compliance Manager Rola Abouassi said that the Safety Campaign Training covered a number of topics from trends and analysis of statistical data, to roles and responsibilities, returning to work and incident reporting processes.

“Our aim, as always, is to keep our operational staff informed about procedures and process improvement, regulation updates and general safety awareness,” Rola said.

“ We are constantly looking at better ways of doing things so that we can reduce near misses and incidents.”

The training covered the following  topics:

  • Trends and Analysis Statistics of Slips and Trips.
  • Account Managers’ responsibilities of safety.
  • Consequences i.e. injured staff.
  • Operations EHS presentation from the Operations Team.
  • Incident Reporting process refresher training.
  • Return to Work Scheme presented by HR Manager in conjunction with CMC insurer.
