CMC's induction program to be online by end of year

CMC is in the final stages of developing its e-learning online induction module.

Working in partnership with the Lennox Institute, CMC are developing the module for employees and subcontractors.

The module will ensure compliance of Environmental and Health and Safety requirements along with certificate and licence compliance.

CMC’s General Manager Elly Krommidas said that the module will ensure all CMC staff meet training and compliance requirements.

“Users of the e-learning module will be trained in our procedures and policies. We will use training visuals and videos to demonstrate procedures,” she said.

“As English is not the first language for a large number of our operational staff, we have sought out a more visual way of training on our policies and procedures.”

“The other benefit is that the e-learning module will dramatically cut down our paperwork, steering us towards our goal of becoming almost paperless in our operations,” Elly said.

Users of the module will learn about Safe Work Methods, correct use of chemicals and Material Safety Data sheets amongst other topics.

The development of the e-learning online induction module began in May this year and CMC hopes to go live with the system by December this year.
