CMC’s passes quality management systems audit

CMC has received the tick of approval for this year’s annual surveillance audit of its quality management systems.

The audit, includes a detailed review of CMC’s Quality, Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems. This year saw CMC also undertake an expansion of standards to ISO9001: 2015 and ISO14001: 2015.

A surveillance audit is done annually with a recertification of all systems done every three years.

CMC’s EHS Compliance Manager Rola Abouassi said the rigorous audit looked at CMC’s operational processes from a holistic point of view to ensure they meet Australian and International standards.

“Some of the audit elements included looking deep into our internal processes from how our staff follow safe work method statements through to how we collect and review data on customer satisfaction,” Rola said.

“The auditors , as part of the surveillance, visited a client site to ensure that we are complying with all of our systems and requirements out on the field.”

“As a business, it is paramount that we follow set procedures to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.”
