CMC launches Community Garden

CMC Property Services in partnership with the University of Melbourne, today launched its Community Garden.

The CMC Community Garden is a shared project in partnership with the University of Melbourne in Hawthorn where CMC's head office is located.

CMC's CEO Paul McCann said that the aim of the Community Garden is to bring CMC and its partners together to cultivate and share the produce of the garden.

"We will cultivate and grow food (vegetables and herbs) that can be shared amongst our key stakeholders: our CMC Fundraising Café and the Very Special Kids Hospice.

Paul says that the garden will provide a sanctuary for CMC staff as well as access to their own healthy food.

"Our clients, suppliers and partners will be invited to take part in cultivating the garden and given access to the produce.

"Our clients, suppliers and partners will also be invited to open days at CMC's Fundraising Café where they can enjoy a meal cooked with vegetables and herbs from the garden," Paul said.

"In return, we will ask for a donation for their meals with all proceeds going to CMC's charity partner Very Special Kids".
