CMC raises over $7,400 for Very Special Kids

Team CMC has raised over $7,400 for the Very Special Kids Treadmill Challenge.

CMC staff and their families got together recently to be a part of the treadmill challenge that raised $610,870.67 for the charity.

The funds raised will help support families experiencing the loss and grief associated with having a child diagnosed with a life-threatening condition.

The 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge is the biggest corporate treadmill event of its kind. Over 1,000 participants will come together to keep the treadmills in continuous motion for 24 hours. While participating teams work together to reach their ultimate target of completing the 24 hour challenge, only meters away children will receive 24 hour specialised care at Very Special Kids Hospice.

Very Special Kids House is the only dedicated children's hospice in Victoria offering 24 hour respite care, and provides emergency and planned end-of-life care. The House is light and colourful and the atmosphere welcoming and friendly and offers a place where families can take a break from the constant care of their child. It is also an environment which inspires trust and confidence for children and their families, allowing them to spend quality time together or apart.
