CMC’s Charity Committee visits Very Special Kids Hospice

CMC's Charity Committee made a special visit to the Very Special Kids Children's Hospice today.

The visit included a tour of the hospice and admin facilities where the committee had an opportunity to see the support services that Very Special Kids (VSK) offer to the children and families with life-threatening conditions.

Committee Chairperson Nicole Stephens said the aim of the visit was to showcase hospice facilities such as music rooms, specialised equipment and the parent and family retreat area.

"Although we need no motivation to raise money for our charity partner, Very Special Kids, it was a great opportunity for the committee to see first hand where the money we are raising goes to," Nicole said.

" As a committee member, it is Its truly heart warming to be given the opportunity to raise money for such a worthy cause. Seeing the children, families and staff at the hospice really brings home the need for us to raise funds for VSK."

"It inspired us to do more and work harder so that we can make a difference to the lives of the children and families."

Through the guidance of its Charity Committee, CMC will partner with VSK to hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year. CMC will also assist in VSK key fundraising events such as the treadmill challenge through its Employee Volunteer Program.
