CMC employs Community/Indigenous Engagement Officer

CMC has employed a Community/Indigenous Engagement Officer to further assist in engagement and opportunity strategies with the community.

The newly created role will help CMC with its strategic pillar of working with the community to achieve common goals to better the working environment.

CMC's Chief Executive Officer Paul McCann said that the new officer, Kyle, would be instrumental in further developing and executing specific strategic objectives.

"As part of our community-strategic pillar, we have set an objective of engaging with and providing opportunity to businesses and people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage."

"We want to learn about, form links and engage with these communities," Paul said.

"We feel that we have the right people, coverage and programs in place to make a real difference to these communities and others."

"Kyle, our Community Engagement Officer, will use already established programs such as our Life skills program, aimed at giving disadvantaged members of the community assistance to learn skills and ultimately seek employment in the cleaning and property maintenance industries."

"This is a really exciting period for us at CMC and we are looking forward to building further links with our community."
